The Associação Nacional de Desporto para Deficientes (ANDE), HOC of the Rio de Janeiro 2022 World Boccia Championships, and Sports Network, the company organizing the official Volunteer Program for this competition, have received more than 300 applications.
The Program was launched on September 14th, and in less than 24 hours more than 160 applications were received for the biggest boccia tournament of this year’s world calendar, which will take place in December at the Olympic Park, in Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone.
In all, 40 vacancies are available for volunteers aged 18 and up, with or without professional experience, and there is no prerequisite for academic qualifications. They will provide support to all the functional areas of the event, and may work in several departments.
The Rio de Janeiro 2022 Boccia World Championship will happen from December 5 to 13, with free entry, at the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca, in the city’s West Zone. There are more than 170 athletes confirmed, from 40 countries.
